Allen loves color—particularly bright color! In his Earth Series, like the acrylic painting shown above, he complements earth tones with splashes of related bright colors. In his Riots of Color Series, he combines transparent watercolor techniques, acrylic glaze of bright colors, and opaque acrylic forms to contrast free-form designs with structured shapes. In addition to his acrylic and watercolor works, he enjoys woodturning and leather carving.
